DESCRIPTION
AND BASIC USE • MATCRETEŽ ConSeal™ Natural Look Sealer is a fast
curing, deep penetrating, non-film forming sealer for porous above
ground masonry surfaces. When applied to all types of porous tiles,
masonry and concrete surfaces. ConSeal will penetrate the pore
structure and make it highly water resistant. Water, in most
applications will not pentrate the surface. Air or vapors are not
hindered and treated surfaces can still "breathe". ConSeal, on above
ground exterior masonry, will help preserve surface from spalling,
cracking, discoloration and efflorescence. It will also help to keep
the surface clean and reduce staining.
LIMITATIONS • ConSeal is not recommended for pools, basements
or underground masonry, or on surfaces subject to hydrostatic
pressure.
STORAGE • Store in a safe place. Keep containers tightly
sealed. DO NOT allow product to freeze. Material that is frozen
CANNOT be used when thawed. Shelf life is approximately 1 to 2
years.
COVERAGE • Coverage requirements vary depending upon the
porosity of the surface being sealed. One gallon of ConSeal
will cover approximately 200 square feet.
PREPARATION • New concrete should be cured at least 28 days,
prior to application. Surfaces must be dry, porous and free of
foreign contaminants. Protect adjoining surfaces from over spray of ConSeal. Glass, windows, doorframes, plants or any surface that is
not to be sealed must be protected from over spray or splash of the
sealer.
APPLICATION •
For best
results, sealer should be applied when the surface temperature is
between
55°F and 80°F. Stir contents
thoroughly. After proper preparation of surfaces ConSeal can be
applied by using an airless sprayer held 2-4 inches from the
surface, or a low-pressure pump-up sprayer, a short-napped paint
roller or brush. Liberal application and generous overlapping are
recommended; however, puddling or excessive (unabsorbed) sealer will
cause a clear or white glossy deposit to appear. Make certain to
wipe off any excess sealer that has not penetrated. When applying to
vertical surfaces, start from the bottom and work up keeping a wet
edge. Avoid using in direct sunlight. Do not apply on
foggy or rainy days. Use only in well ventilated areas.
Allow 2-3
hours before using the sealed surface. Prolonged periods of high
humidity or cool weather will increase drying time of material.
MAINTENANCE • The sealed surface should be inspected
periodically for areas of water penetration. Reapply sealer as
needed.
CAUTIONS •
KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Before using
or handling, read the Material Safety Data Sheet and Warranty. DO NOT
TAKE INTERNALLY. Do not breathe vapors or mist. Use only with adequate
ventilation and use a respirator when levels are above applicable limits.
Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Close container after each use. Use
good hygiene when handling this product and wash and bathe after each
use. Be sure to wash clothing after each use.
