DESCRIPTION AND BASIC USE • Primarily used in solvent-based sealers, MATCRETE® Flat Look™ Gloss-Adjusting Additive is a finely ground polymer material designed to reduce the final level of gloss in concrete sealers. By altering the addition of Flat Look, different gloss levels can be achieved, i.e. semi-gloss, satin and matte.

COVERAGE • Flat Look is designed to be incorporated into a suitable concrete sealer. Minimum addition ratios are 2 oz. per gallon and 10 oz. per 5 gallons. Additional Flat Look can be added, depending on the desired final level of gloss. Do not exceed 4 oz. per gallon.

PREPARATION • Follow surface preparation directions of sealer being applied.

APPLICATION • It is recommended that when mixing Flat Look into unfamiliar sealers, that a small test batch is mixed, followed by a small test application. Add the proper amount of Flat Look into the container of sealer. Mix with a mechanical paddle mixer. DO NOT MIX BY HAND. Flat Look should be added slowly and evenly to avoid lumps. Sealer will change from clear to cloudy as Flat Look is incorporated. There should be no visible lumps or agglomerations in the sealer after Flat Look has been properly mixed. In thinner products, occasional mixing during application may be required to keep the particles well suspended within the coating. Apply with a pump-up sprayer (use proper tip for spray applications) or apply with a roller. Do not re-roll wet areas. *Some low-pressure pump-up sprayers may not be able to dispense sealers with Flat Look.

WARNING • KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Flat Look is not hazardous and does not contain silica, but should be treated as a nuisance dust while incorporating it into its intended vehicle. Use with adequate ventilation. Use appropriate, properly fitted respirator protection filter apparatus and avoid breathing dust and particles. If dizziness, headache or eye watering occurs, get to fresh air; leave area immediately. In case of eye contact, flush with large
amounts of water for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation persists. Do not take internally. If swallowed, seek medical attention immediately. Keep out of reach of children. Close container after each use. Use protective clothing to avoid contact with skin and eyes. Refer to Material Safety Data Sheet for complete health and safety information. USE ONLY WITH ADEQUATE VENTILATION.

WARRANTY • These products are warranted to be of uniform quality with manufacturing tolerances. Since no control is exercised over their use, no warranty, express or implied, is made as to the effect of such use. Seller’s & manufacturer’s obligation under this warranty shall be limited to refunding the purchase price of that portion of the material proven to be defective.
